🍵 The Takeover

• Before your takeover…
  • Please carefully review this document and reach out with any concerns
  • I’ll make an IG post announcing it. I’ll invite you as a collaborator; no pressure to accept!
• On the day of your takeover…
  • Please arrive 30 minutes before your listed start time. I will already be there setting up for you when you arrive.
  • Bring a snack, sunglasses, and sunscreen if you need it. Dress very warmly with lots of layers!
  • Unless you have safety concerns, I’ll be leaving you alone during for the duration of your takeover and will return at the very end to pack things up

📗 The Zine

• You can submit any creative piece which relates to your takeover experience! Topics to consider: the people of Bushwick, public spaces, tea.
  • Must fit on a 5.5” x 8.5” page
  • First draft due May 11th
  • Final draft due May 21st
• I will handle the design & publishing of the zine (but would appreciate any help if you’re interested!)
• This will be a special issue of our biannual zine, bōcha
• Availability and cost to public will depend on grant decision, but hopefully will be distributed on a donation-basis!

🧺 The Teapotluck

• RSVP here for our “Teapotluck” culmination event on July 6th!
  • We’ll distribute copies of our zine, make a giant pot of tea, and celebrate Perpetual Brew in Maria Hernandez Park
